Ebon Crucible
A competitive dark fantasy arena combat game. Five classes, 63 abilities, ranked matchmaking, and an in-game economy built around skill.

What Ebon Crucible Is
Ebon Crucible is a real-time PvP arena fighter played in the browser. Players pick from five character classes and fight in ranked 1v1 or 2v2 arenas with WASD movement and six ability slots. Combat revolves around crowd control chains, interrupt timing, defensive cooldown management, and coordinated burst windows.
The game launched into alpha in February 2026 with all five classes, a ranked ladder, a full in-game economy, wager duels, a community forum, and a battle pass. It is not a prototype. It is a fully playable competitive game that is actively evolving with each patch.
Every fight is fair. There is no pay-to-win. Cosmetics are the only purchasable items. The economy rewards skill: win streaks, higher tiers, and wager duels all amplify returns for players who earn them.

Each class has 12-15 unique abilities with distinct resource systems. 63 abilities total, each with cooldowns, cast times, and resource costs.

Technical Build
Ebon Crucible is a browser-based game with real-time multiplayer combat. The entire system was built from scratch: ability framework, resource systems, crowd control state machines, matchmaking, ELO calculations, economy engine, forum system, and battle pass progression.
The ability system supports 63 unique abilities across five classes, each with distinct cooldowns, cast times, resource costs, and interaction rules. Crowd control chains, diminishing returns, and interrupt windows create depth that rewards skilled play over gear or grinding.
The game launched into alpha with ranked seasons, live leaderboards, wager duels, a built-in community forum, and regular content patches. This is a full-stack build: game design, engineering, balance, economy, and community infrastructure.
